The association works closely with its members and the council to maintain and improve amenities on the allotments. We especially aim to provide a strong and united voice in our dealings with the council.

We offer a range of benefits to our members and organise a wide variety of social activities. The cost of membership is £10.00 per year for family membership.

The benefits of membership

  • Public Liability Insurance to cover accidents to any member of the public on your plots

  • Quarterly newsletter ‘Dig This!’ packed with relevant news, interesting articles and tips on how to get the most from your plot. Click here to see an example of a previous newsletter (you will need Adobe Acrobat to read it which you can download here)

  • Trips to RHS gardens (as an affiliate member of the RHS, trips organised by CNAA)

  • Membership of the National Allotment society (otherwise charged at £23) with access to their regular magazine and specialist insurance offers.

  • Plant swap and social events

  • Summer produce show every September, with prizes

  • AGM every May

  • Seed ordering scheme offering top quality seeds at a significant discount, roughly half price!

  • Bulk ordering of manure and mushroom compost in the Autumn, delivered directly to your plot

  • Use of communal sheds where available (deposit required for key)

  • Discount at Ayletts garden centre on certain days
